Walden Classmates thanks for a great 8 weeks. I have learned a lot and have enjoyed reading your posts and discussions. Thanks again and I wish you the best on your journey.
Children
will not remember you for the material things you provided But for the feeling that
you cherished them.

The most
precious jewels you’ll ever have around your neck are the arms of your children
There are
two gifts we should give our children; one is roots, and the other is wings.
Children are
great imitators. So give them something
great to imitate.
No one would
expect a child to learn to ride a bike by showing the child a drawing of a
bicycle and by discussing the laws of balance.
The child learns by riding the bike.

Hi Amy,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed being part of this course with you. I wish you success in your continued journey of higher education.
Hello Amy, Your quotes are great. And yes, its true that children will not remember you for the materialistic things you give them. I believe what touches the heart, remains with a person forever, regardless of age.
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your quote about children remembering the feeling not the materials you give them. This is true. I was once told that your children will not remember if your house is clean but they will remember if you sat down to play a game with them. I always think of this when I am overwhelmed. Thanks for all your posts this semester and hope to see you in the next class. Tish
love the quotes, Amy. Yes I have moms who were at the center as children 25 years ago. They still remember many things about what they did but mostly about what the teachers did. Hopefully we left more lasting positive memories than negative one. Thanks for your support during this course. Hope that we can meet again soon.
